Beltsville, Maryland is a small town located in Prince George’s County, just outside of Washington DC. The area was first settled in 1730 and has grown over the years to now have a population of over 16,000 people. Beltsville is home to many federal government agencies, including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) is located in the town and offers a variety of research, educational, and agricultural programs.
